Distance Learning Tips from the Learning Center
To help alleviate some anxiety you may be feeling, below are some links that may help with tools that will be used as we move to online instruction. We want to be sure that you are all comfortable with these new methods of communication and learning.
-
Student Knowledge Base: This page will be updated in the near future to include some of the new tools like Zoom. This is a “go to” resource and includes guides for navigating through Panopto and Blackboard. https://www.etskb-stu.cidde.pitt.edu/

Zoom for Students:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iap0Ffl5Lg (This is an easy tutorial on YouTube from Case Western. However, please do not contact Case Western for help.)
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJRAdb8I-2g (This is another tutorial using Firefox.)
-
Muting is very important! Make sure you mute yourself (unless you are talking) to eliminate feedback and make it easier for everyone to hear.
-
You may want to do a practice session to work out any issues you may experience.
