The Physical Therapist Assistant, AS is being discontinued. New students are not being accepted into the program. This will not impact students graduating in April 2020 or May 2021. The University is committed to providing a high quality program to those students as they complete the requirements for their degree. Students currently enrolled in the program must complete their degree by August 14, 2021.
On April 28, 2020 the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Accreditation decided to place the program in a show cause-continue probationary accreditation status. Further information about this status can be viewed here.
Our Physical Therapist Assistant program is a well-established academic-based program. When you complete the two-year program, you will earn an Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant and will be eligible to sit for the National Physical Therapy Licensure Examination.
Accreditation and Licensure
Our program is accredited through 2021 by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association. Our PTA faculty are members of the American Physical Therapy Association. Learn more about our accreditation.
