Stephanie Fiely, EdD

Throughout her years working in higher education, Dr. Stephanie Fiely has worked in various areas of student affairs, including residence life, student conduct, new student orientation, student activities.  She’s also instructed public speaking and freshman seminar courses.  Dr. Fiely now serves as the Assistant Executive Director of the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville Education and Training Hub.  In this role she oversees the Hub facilities, operations, auxiliary services, and various other aspects within the Hub administration.

Fiely received her BS in Communication with a focus in sports broadcasting and sports information from Waynesburg College.  While at Waynesburg College she held several leadership roles including committee chairperson and Vice President for the Student Activities Board, Vice President and President of the Student Senate, writer for the for the Yellow Jacket student newspaper, several roles on WCYJ-TV college television station, and was a member of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity.

She earned her MEd degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.  Fiely earned her EdD from the same program.  Her dissertation was entitled Understanding Perceptions of Post-Secondary Education Among Rural Manufacturing Business Managers, which now meshes with some of the programs included at the Education and Training Hub. 

Professionally, Fiely has been involved with the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA).  Most notably she served as the 2010 NACA National Convention Program Chairperson for the Association’s 50th anniversary.  In addition, she was the 2005 NACA Mid Atlantic Regional Conference Coordinator and several regional leadership roles and a regional Graduate Intern Mentor.  She received the 2012 NACA Legacy Award and 2006 Outstanding NACA Mid Atlantic Region Professional Award.

In the Titusville community, Fiely serves on the United Way of the Titusville Region and Titusville YWCA Board of Directors.  She also volunteers with the Titusville Rotary Club, Rotary International District 7280, and with various community events.  In 2017 she was honored with the University of Pittsburgh’s Chancellor’s Award for Community Engagement.

In her free time, Fiely enjoys spending time with her family, taking photos and attending sporting events.  She is an avid Pitt football, Erie SeaWolves, and Titusville Rockets fan.
