Honors Society

Phi Theta Kappa

Faculty Advisor: Dr. David Fitz and Ms. Stephanie Fiely

Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society is a prestigious group of scholars from over 1,100 two-year colleges across the United States, Canada, and abroad.

The mission of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarship among college students. The three-fold purpose of the Alpha Pi Zeta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Pitt-Titusville is 1) the promotion of scholarship and the stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence, 2) to provide the opportunity for the development of leadership and service, and 3) the cultivation of lively fellowship among qualified students of this college.

Only a few select students are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society with membership contingent upon scholastic achievement (GPA of 3.5 is required), as well as evidence of high moral standards and good citizenship.

Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is a highly coveted honor that will enrich your life while you attend Pitt-Titusville through participation in its social events and community service projects, and will also remain with you as you pursue your further educational or career goals.
