Titusville Promise

The Titusville Promise is a scholarship foundation developed by the Titusville Alumni Association. The monies have been donated by alumni and friends of the Titusville High School to support Titusville High School graduates pursuing post-secondary education at all campuses of the University of Pittsburgh.

The Titusville Promise has grown out of the realization that not all students have the financial support necessary to attend college. In today’s world, we know that education is essential to success. In a partnership with the Titusville campus of the University of Pittsburgh, Titusville High School graduates who meet requirements may apply for financial assistance from the Titusville Promise to attend college at the local campus.

Students must apply for awards by April 15 of each calendar year.   Applications and releases must be submitted to Titusville Promise, c/o Titusville Alumni Association, 302 E. Walnut  Street, Titusville, PA  16354.

Students are evaluated for financial awards based on information they provide to the Board of Governors through the application process for the Titusville Promise. Criteria for awards are: financial need, academic performance, citizenship, and community service. The awards are provided for the year but equally divided between the fall and spring semesters.  Students who receive awards for the year must maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average and be full-time students.  Student who do not maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average or are no longer full-time students will lose their award. Students who complete the first year of college at the University of Pittsburgh’s Titusville campus with at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average and 24 earned credit hours may reapply for a second year of funding.

The Margaret I. Fiely Scholarship

  • One $500 scholarship awarded to an adult female student.
  • Completed applications go to the Titusville Area Alumni Association.
